Project background
01
The task was to make an assistive tool for any DISABILITY. We could not use any screens but had to include Ai.
We chose to help people suffering memory loss or early stages of dementia. The idea was to create something shaped familiar to them, a vinyl player or a radio. We tested different shapes but also wanted to create a link between visual memory (images) and audio. So for that the cassette player shape was serving best.
Each cassette contains a photograph and recorded story tied to loved ones and meaningful moments. By inserting a memory cassette, users hear their own voice and relive experiences through a warm, tactile interaction. The project treats memory not as data to be stored, but as a living relationship between people, stories and time.

Testing in the expo showed that great design works for everyone: Many people said they would love to collect memories while it is fresh to listen later on what was happening in that moment and picture.
